    Project manager and design associate for custom metal studio & fabrication shop that specialized in limited-run ornamental and architectural metal systems. Projects included spiral stairs, steel and glass store front, complex door systems, partition walls, enclosures, cladding systems, trims, light fixtures, furniture and art pieces. Using SolidWorks 2015, I modeled large assemblies and maintained shop/fabrication drawings. From initial design and site surveys, up to the point of final installation, It was my responsibility to ensure a system's fit, functionality, aesthetics, and quality. Role also required constant communication with G.C.s, clients, vendors, artists, and others involved to ensure that each project met or exceeded the expectations of all parties involved.

    I began an unpaid drafting internship at B&B Sheet Metal with about 20 other interns. At the end of my third week I was promoted to a full time estimating position. During my time here I became skilled at efficiently reviewing construction documents and specifications to find parts of the job that the company could bid on. Full cost breakdowns complete with material take-offs, fabrication time, labor, delivery/installation costs, were all incorporated to form a competitive and profitable bid.
