    In this role, I am the lead program manager for the Vanderploeg Luminosity Scholarship. This scholarship program is an extension of The Luminosity Lab’s innovative learning and research model, aimed at providing incoming freshman and sophomores students with the opportunity to engage in real world innovation through systems thinking and rapid product realization during their time at ASU.This scholarship is for students interested in engaging in applied learning opportunities while pursuing their undergraduate degree. Scholars will not only receive a monetary award but will participate in weekly programing that provides a holistic view of the technical, managerial, financial, analytical, and human perspectives that are needed to successfully design and implement complex solutions to solving 21st century challenges.

  • Program Manager

    As the lab’s program manager, I was responsible for working with campus faculty and staff to find companies that may be interested in sponsoring a student team to act as a consultant on an internal company-relevant project. For the FedEx project, a faculty member and I spent the spring and summer months in 2022 discussing company objectives with a team from FedEx, and in August 2022 created a statement of work for the formal partnership. Since then, I have been responsible for facilitating the interactions between the team at FedEx and the student team working on the project deliverables at Lane College.

    - Assist Luminosity Lab Executive Director and staff with development and scoping of sponsored projects. - Identify next steps for existing corporate and academic partnerships and additional collaborating partners.- Determine and document funding requirements for project hardware and launch of academic collaborations. - Provide design and development support for various internal and sponsored projects.
