    As an online language instructor, Professor Abdilim is responsible for teaching students how to speak and understand the Uyghur language using strategic teaching methods.     Teaching adults of all ages whose first or main language is not English to speak, write and read in the English language. The content of the lessons varies depending on the proficiency level of the students in the English language. The preparation and delivery of lessons also varies depending on the reason why the students are learning English, e.g. whether it is for business use or the students’ personal desire to improve their language skills. In addition to classroom management and delivering lessons, Professor Abudulimu also prepares and executes homework, exercises and exams. Consequently, marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work is also an essential part of the learning process.

    As a Language Teaching Expert, Professor Abdilim researched and compiled Uyghur reading materials (articles, short stories etc.) to produce learning materials and exams(oral, listening and written) for students of the Uyghur language. Professor Abdilim played a prominent role in Avant Assessment's Uyghur Test Project as well.

    In 2007, Professor Abdilim taught the Uyghur language Summer Course in CeLCAR, Indiana University. The class consisted of graduate students from a variety of professional backgrounds. Professor Abdilim designed and executed strategic lesson plans and exams to maximize the potential of each of her students. Indiana University CeLCAR --The Center for the Languages of the Central Asian Region is dedicated to promoting the teaching and learning of the languages and cultures of Central Asia. It is also developing textbooks, multimedia resources, and distance language learning courses for Uyghur, Pashto, Tajik, Uzbek, and Kazakh, as well as improved teacher training in these languages.

    Professor Abdilim worked as a journalist for Radio Free Asia's Uyghur Service from 2001 to 2007. During this time, Professor Abdilim published news articles about the social and political conditions of the Uyghur region. Professor Abdilim was also a broadcaster of RFA's Uyghur Service, which allowed her to plan and execute creative radio shows in Uighur language.

    Professor Abdilim supported and managed 20+ faculty members of the Foreign Language Department at Xinjiang University. Professor Abdilim received multiple awards and recognition for her role as the Director of the Foreign Language Department and for her accomplishments as a professor.

    In collaboration with and under the guidance of Dr. Shirin Akiner, Professor Abdilim completed the Uyghur Language Teaching Manual, which is used today by a number of professors at Xinjing University to develop strategic lesson plans. In addition to her research, Professor Abdilim also taught a course in the Uyghur language to Linguistics PhD students.
