After commissioning I assisted the University of Kansas Army ROTC Program with recruiting high school and college students. Then in March 2012 I went to Fort Benning, GA for the Armor Officer Basic Course followed by the Army Reconnaissance Course. I reported to Fort Campbell, KY in July 2012. I worked as the Squadrons Current Operations (CUOPs) Officer until I became a Platoon Leader. As the CUOPs Officer I was responsible for publishing Orders on a daily basis to 5 Company-Troops (C-T) issuing tasks that needed to be completed. I also tracked the training that each of the C-Ts completed on a weekly basis.
