    3/2014 - 6/2015Lead Test Engineer in the new Quality group. I evaluate the software of all ZTE USA GSM and WCDMA Android phones over 4G/LTE and 3G networks, all carriers (Sprint, Cricket, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Tracfone), plus other devices such as hotspots and projectors. I created a scoring system to evaluate readiness and I create reports for the Quality Managers on which they base go/no go decisions. Test 3rd party apps with the devices including iPhone mirroring. Write and edit FAQs for the ZTE USA web site, assist the hardware engineers by doing pre-EWP analysis and track FFR data for the Tracfone manager. I take logs with adb logcat and use the Qualcomm support tools QXDM Professional and QPST. Also BREW AppLoader, internal tools created by ZTE and run automation with Monkey Runner. Also monitor issues on Sprint’s JIRA. (See other positions at other companies below for other tool experience.) Independent contractor 2/2009-6/2010, full time from 7/2010Responsible for testing all areas of ZTE Android mobile handsets for the United States market, for the carriers MetroPCS, AT&T, Cricket, and Cincinnati Bell, verifying by requirements and writing test cases and other documentation. Areas include UI, Bluetooth, WiFi hotspot and WPS, GPS, Browser, SMS/MMS, OTA functions and third party applications.Liaison between MetroPCS friendly user testers and our programmers. Led inside friendly user testing. Sole ZTE representative at Bluetooth Unplugfest 2010. IOT testing at Siemens lab in Zagreb, Croatia. Other various field testing.

    Tested TI Navigator, software that wirelessly networks graphing calculators to the teacher's PC. Allows teachers to download and collect exams, poll classes, display results and live presentations. Tests were run on several PC platforms (Apple and Microsoft, including Windows in other languages) and calculators. Wrote and manually performed test cases, following developer specifications, for TI-Nspire Teacher Edition, PC software that allows teachers to create exams, download and retrieve exams and self-check tests to student calculators, convert files containing math equations and shapes, etc. Other devices such as temperature probes were used. Also ran automated test scripts written with in-house software. Used Test Director for test cases, Bugzilla for bug reporting and Excel for status reports.
