Apr 2021 - Apr 2024
The Eviction Mediation program seeks to partner landlords and tenants with a neutral third party in hopes of settling residential disputes outside of court. After taming program logistics, my role in this program was to support parties while organizing an average of 60 mediations per month and managing a roster of 70 mediators.I worked directly with tenants, landlords, attorneys. Working with the eviction court Judge and courthouse staff, I attended court, fielded participant questions, and troubleshot obstacles. I provided the court with monthly data reports. I submitted all agreed orders and reports resulting from mediation to the court prior to case deadlines. In order to ensure program quality, I provided mediator staff trainings on a variety of timely issues, such as rental assistance and best practices.
