From Novation's UltraNova™ and MiniNova™, Roland's Jupiter 80™, Muse's MuseBox™, SampleWiz™ app for the iPhone & iPad (Jordan Rudess and Kevin Chantier - creators), we've been involved with most major releases. Working on Nord's Wave, Stage II, Kurzweil's PC series, Yamaha Motif, Korg's M3, and so many more keeps our knowledge of the latest technology fresh. Making programs and demos for Synthogy's Ivory and Ivory II platforms, as well as custom programming for Broadway shows and touring US companies (All Shook Up, Ring of Fire, Ministry of Progress, A Tale of Two Cities, Whistle Down the Wind etc.), are just a few of the services we provide. We also specialize in graphic art design (logos, marketing materials, POP) website design (feature rich sites offering custom graphics, blogging and forum capabilities, audio/video streaming, pushing information to social networks [Twitter, MySpace, Facebook etc.] and mobile devices) custom configuring servers and networks, audio design (create sound logos, audio tracks, sound effects, and more).     Designsounds is a small group of sound designers, programmers specializing in creating sounds on various hardware and software products for use in the Broadway pit, or for touring musicals. Credits include Ministry of Progress (Jane Street Theater, NYC 2004), Ring of Fire (Barrymore Theater, NYC 2006 - based on music of Johnny Cash), All Shook Up (USA National Touring Company, 2006 - based on the music of Elvis Presley), Whistle Down The Wind (USA National Touring Company 2007- written by Jim Steinman/Andrew Lloyd Webber), A Tale of Two Cities (Al Hirschfeld Theater, NYC working with Billy Joel's David Rosenthal 2008), and many other projects. Sound design for hardware synthesizer manufacturers include Nord, Roland Corp, Yamaha, Kurzweil, Korg, M-Audio, and other manufacturers, Custom audio trailers, soundtrack, and program creation are among the many services provided.

    My duties include preparation of musical arrangements and performance of 4 part harmony and keyboard works for the weekly Mass. I work with a team of music ministers, and am responsible for the selection of all musical materials for the choral mass. I direct weekly rehearsals and teach music theory and sight reading to our choir. I also create sound programs for our musical workstation keyboard to enhance our orchestral and contemporary musical styles. We perform an annual Christmas concert that I record and master to produce finished CDs where I arrange licensing and legal sales to raise funds for the musical program. Because of my knowledge of acoustics, sound design and DSP, I assist the church by fine tuning their sound system and other details to improve the sonic experience.

It is a show that has evolved from the efforts of the creator, STEVEN KAZLAUSKAS and developed in concert with the TONY T. ORCHESTRA, comprised of very dedicated and talented musicians. Steve pays tribute to this legendary performer with stories and songs that bring back the golden era! The show captures the emotion and the sound of this unique period where swing was king!For the most part, the original arrangements are utilized to preserve that classic big band sound. Members of the group include talented musicians who’ve performed on Broadway and TV, recorded on major record labels, and toured with international acts. Together they present this musical journey of one of the greatest performers of all time.

    Teaching music history through the Renaissance, Music Theory, and Intro to Recording at the University. I taught one semester and couldn't justify the loss of income! I enjoyed the teaching experience, especially the intro to recording using both analog and digital systems, but in the end the 1.5 hr. commute each way and the overall cost vs. prep and teaching time wasn't profitable.

    The senior sound designer was responsible to record musical instruments (capture sound sources) for use in M-Audio's sample playback electronic musical keyboard instruments. Raw sound data was also provided by third party developers. The sound source had to be processed, reduced and formatted for use with custom ASICs using off the shelf and custom software (Macintosh and PC). The designer was required to create custom velocity maps used to control how the keyboard action would respond to the player's touch. Software compiling and mechanical assembly knowledge were required. The designer was responsible for voicing the instruments (creating the programs the customer would hear when playing the products). The designer was required to create specialized documentation (marketing specifications, technical product specifications). The goal was to refine and shape the sound data according to the feedback of a large panel of marketing persons who gave feedback during the process.

Establish US warehousing, marketing and distribution channels including brick and mortar and internet based retailers. Evolution was purchased in the June of 2003 by M-Audio, a competitor as a result of the value added by Brainchild Group.

    I was responsible for all product definitions, providing market analysis of competition and market trends. I helped to successfully launch the a very successful mix of products and deliver synthesizer technology (V.A.S.T.) that is still ahead of the market. During my time at Kurzweil, we won a record 6 TEC (Technical Excellence in Creativity) awards in 7 years for products such as the K2000, K2500, K2600, PC88, and others! I introduced a new class of product: Performance Controller that successfully married a sound engine to a full featured master controller. I led our team to renew the industry's interest in ribbon controllers and arpeggiators which had long been dormant.
