    For the 2014-2015 academic year I have was the University of South Dakota (West River) Student and Faculty Support Specialist. As the sole representative of The University of South Dakota at the University Center in Rapid City, I provided administrative support to faculty for Rapid City and Pierre distance-delivered courses and programs. I also provided information regarding current programs to prospective students, assist new and returning students with registration, and aid in recruitment. I was the advisor to USD students at University Center and some online students. Students are full-time and part-time, graduate and undergraduate, and degree seeking and non-degree seeking. I provided presentations about USD programs to various groups, coordinate recruiting events, and act as the admission authority for USD for Rapid City and Pierre University Centers. I also acted on behalf of USD on various committees and initiatives in regards to the University Center. I also worked in conjunction with the USD Nursing programs for the west river area

    I have almost a decade of experience as a Federal employee counseling service members and veterans in regards to education goals, obtaining college credit based on military education, and testing alternatives to traditional classroom attendance, G.I. Bill benefits, federal and state tuition assistance. I routinely provided presentations and conducted workshops concerning educational benefits to service members, family members, university and technical institutes, etc. I have also created multiple systematic tutorials to walk service members and veterans through process to apply for GI Bill and tuition assistance benefits.I managed multi-millions of dollars in funding for the following programs: federal and state tuition assistance, multiple bonus programs, and student loan repayment programs. I have managed a staff of up five direct reports. I routinely answered correspondence from service members, unit commanders, state and federal legislators, and the South Dakota Board of Regents in regards to specific cases and policy issues.I created and used both traditional and social media to promote, facilitate, and increase engagement of service members and veterans. I managed and administered the Army Personnel Test (APT) program to service members. While managing the APT program I coordinated to set up multiple test sites throughout the state, which increased the number of tests, administered, and reduced the travel requirements of service members. I have proctored and administered tests for service members to aid in college class completion.
