    In my faculty role in the Management Department at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, I balance the academic triad of teaching, research, and service. Current courses I teach include Theory and Behavior in Organizations (MGT308), Employment (Human Resource Development; MGT385), and Leadership and Team Development (MGT412). In my research program, I explore topics of effective and ethical leadership, employee well-being, and assessment in organizations. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with students and across campus in the area of student leadership development.

    I earned my M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology from Colorado State University. The I/O program at CSU follows the scientist-practitioner model and provided a strong foundation of empirical and theoretical knowledge in the field in addition to practical application of this knowledge in business.

    In this role, I worked with the Program Director (Dr. Kurt Kraiger) on all aspects of the MAIOP program and online certificate programs in Performance Management and Organizational development. Specific responsibilities included training 6-8 doctoral student instructors and developers in best practices of online instruction, overseeing all course development and instruction, acting as liaison with the Department of Continuing Education and The Institute of Learning and Teaching at Colorado State University, advising prospective students, and supervising all students enrolled in the MAIOP and related certificate programs (approximately 45 students).
