    Chris Williams is Head of the Corporate Assurance Team and is responsible for ensuring that the National Physical Laboratory is compliant with HS&E Legislation and maintains its certifications and accreditation to both national and international standards.BiographyChris joined NPL in 1999 after 28 years in the oil industry with BP; an Incorporated Engineer by profession, Chris was elected a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology in 1991. Moving into Health & Safety with BP in 1992 was elected a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health in 2007.Since joining NPL, Chris has strived to raise the profile of Assurance across the NPL business and promote a quality culture where excellence in all aspects of service and delivery is paramount.
