The Victorian Building Authority was moving some services online, as well as integrating some existing online services. My work focused on online builder registration, and the ongoing requirements of maintaining a building registration.Working with the business, I designed a user interface framework for very large online application forms that supports builders through the process of applying for registration. The same framework allows the forms to be updated and maintained as internal processes and building regulations evolve.

Bendigo was developing an online application for lending staff to receive, assess, and manage home loans. I joined a small team of designers, with a focus on aligning existing work into a design system that could be used for a range of internal applications.After establishing a design system, I worked with business and technical stakeholders to evolve an interaction framework for the lending system. This framework supported collaboration and workflow between the many teams and tasks involved in managing a loan from application to discharge.

I worked with the business and project teams to design the overall application and the service flow for both Origin's customers and staff.We delivered a modern system that made it easier to provide the right information, provided clarity on the order status, improved communication, and reduced the work required to process an application.

The NSW state government partnered with Seek Volunteer to develop a volunteer recruitment web site for NSW. I worked with key stakeholders to understand what was needed, agree on the product's scope, and then design the web site.We delivered a modern, accessible, and responsive site within very tight deadlines. Over time, we built out new and improved functionality, including delivering significant improvements to the main Seek Volunteer website, and the backend administration system used by volunteering organisations.

Seek partnered with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games to help find the 40,000 staff and 20,000 volunteers needed to run the games. I worked within a small project team to understand what was required, and then scope and design the products needed.We designed and delivered a custom job search website for the games, as well as a range of advertising products included in the Seek job site. I worked closely with Seek's brand manager and the games branding team to establish a visual look and feel for the digital recruitment products.

I worked with the team to research and design solutions to common issues customers were having.We delivered a range of improvements, including helping customers understand and fix common issues. We made it easier for customers to review their history, to make payments, and to setup automatic payments.

More broadly, I demonstrated the value of focusing on customer outcomes, and established a UX design capability across the digital team.

I joined them as a part-time designer to work on mobile initiatives.We delivered an upgrade of the mobile website so that it could include information for business customers. We also delivered new payment options, and two-factor authorisation for payments, for the mobile banking website and then the mobile banking apps.

I worked with the team at the beginning and at the end of the project.I was able to help key stakeholders understand what’s involved in user experience, and what leads to good and bad experiences for users. I helped the team evaluate different software options, and then made recommendations to improve the experience as needed.
