• Represented claimant China Petrochemical Development Corporation (“CPDC”) against Respondents Axiall Corp. and PPG Industries, Inc. in an international arbitration before the AAA for breach of a put option agreement. Result: Obtained a US$100 million partial settlement for CPDC, preserving the right to seek further incidental and consequential damages. Assisted in obtaining an additional US$4.2 million judgment for interest and incidental damages at arbitration.• Represented (with local California counsel) multiple Taiwanese corporate and individual defendants against Tatung Company in a RICO, fraud, and fraudulent transfer action in the Central District of California. Result: Tatung sought over US$81 million in treble and punitive damages on an alleged US$27 million underlying debt; defendants settled for US$12 million to be paid over nine years.• Chris claimant Publicly Listed Taiwanese Chemical Manufacturer against respondent U.S. Listed Industrial Gas Manufacturer in an international arbitration before the ICC for breach of a joint venture agreement. Result: Obtained a seven-figure arbitral award after final arbitration hearing.• Chris represented plaintiff CPDC against defendants Praxair, Inc., a U.S. listed company, and various directors and officers of Praxair in a RICO, breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent concealment action in the District of Connecticut. Result: Chris left former law firm before final outcome in the case.• Represented publicly listed Taiwanese company in two 28 U.S.C. § 1782 motions in the District of Delaware and the District of Connecticut.

• Represented (with local Georgia counsel) plaintiff 97 year old U.S. citizen residing in Taiwan against plaintiff’s wife, son, and daughter in law in: (1) a fraud, RICO, conversion, and breach of fiduciary duty action in the Northern District of Georgia; and (2) a divorce proceeding in Georgia State Court. Result: Obtained a ~US$4 million global settlement on behalf of Plaintiff.
