Initially employed for the first 6 months under a consultancy contract through Melville Craig on a part time basis to establish an HR function and work towards the Investors in People Award (IiP). I was subsequently offered the full time HR Manager post which I accepted in order to project lead the achievement of IiP. • IiP Award gained at the beginning of June 2002. • Assisted with the management of a restructuring and culture change program to become more commercially orientated. • Creation of a competency based job evaluation system, pay and grading structure and appraisal system that reinforced commercial attributes and achievements. • Recruited, trained and managed a HR Assistant.Organisation: Melville Craig - HR OnLine, GlasgowDates: 1996 - 2000Title: HR ConsultantHR Online employed around 30 consultants providing HR project based consultancy services on site in client organisations. Projects included: • Balfour Beatty/Morrisons - an 18 month project recruiting the project team to build a £200 million new hospital in Edinburgh. • Motorola/Applied Materials - managing UK recruitment of electronic engineers.• Toni & Guy - Scottish hairdressing master franchise with 5 salons and a training school across the Scotland (approx. 100 employees). Worked 3 days per week for 18 months to established HR function where none previously existed.
