The Sheffield Half Marathon 2014 was controversially ‘cancelled’ due to a lack of water after a failed delivery. Despite this, people still continued to run and I uploaded photos to twitter. The BBC, Times, Sky News, Telegraph, all contacted me, used my photographs on their websites and credited me. The BBC also rang me to recruit a runner to interview on BBC 5 live. I was interviewed by the BBC which aired on both national television and online. Sky News also approached me for an interview and was keen to speak to someone who had run the half marathon. I posted tweets and Facebook statuses, before finding someone willing to be interviewed and coordinated his transport.
