    The Word of Life is not originally my own concept and has its roots with the Christian missions beyond the established denominations. An example being how our fellowship leadership have come from the Assemply of God denomination, yet we are not denominational -- and have no connection with (any) of them.     This was the hardest job I ever attempted. For two reasons this employment ranks with compromise as poor leadership -- you cannot trust them. Hired as temporary, for job advertised as part time, even less hours. Told to be responsible as a parent for children personally, but when I reported I spanked a first grader with development issues that would not stop screaming, after spanking his bottom with my bare hand, even 5 times, until the senior driver stopped and confronted the boy enough to bring him out of his panic state. My supervisor, immediately processed me through security, and a thorough investigation, that did not bring charges.As courier, I was trusted to deliver in-house mail. Enjoyed every professional officer I met with, the size of the Redstone reservation is most impressive that most people know about. The Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs are underfunded when there are no soldier units assigned to utilize them. All of the barracks were being being scrapped. Only the global headquarters of the material command have senior enlisted soldiers, but everyone lives off post. I was fired and laid off because of downsizing. I have no regrets, and still highly regard my 14 plus years of active service, and my 50 plus years of safe driving. . .despite being now completely unemployable.

    We learned to live and work together as a team. The experience of working with other young men to even prune acreage of timberland was a laborious task. It was worthy of returning following military service and one semester of junior college. One experience I always remember is on the hotshot crew that was helicoptered into a remote spot to fight the wildfire in the Trinity National Forest (Fire).Also on the team to maintain recreation trails on the Tahoe National Forest near the same areas we hiked as Boy Scouts, both as campers and counselors. This job was following three years in the US Marines; which led me into helicopter maintenance service.
