    I worked on the Shaft Deepening Project for most of my time there. A plug was created near shaft bottom and we deepened the shaft below an existing working shaft and did all the capital and primary development. All the Steady Brackets for the Shaft wires were stripped out. We overcame the challenge using existing Shaft steel work to re-create new Steady Brackets. We did Station Surveys and a Gyro simultaneously and did all the calculations while underground.On completion the plug was removed and the link up between the old and new shafts were perfect. A year after Harmony took over (2000) the Shaft I was retrenched (2001).
