Senior Budget Analyst
-
Jun 2017 - Feb 2019
OMB is the City's chief financial agency assembling, overseeing, managing, and modifying the City's $89 billion budget. As a Senior Analyst in the Social Services Task Force, I managed the City's $1.3 billion child welfare budget, including analyzing funding requests, budget modifications, reviewing and approving contract amendments, monitoring, analyzing and forecasting program outputs and outcomes, expenditures, and revenues; reviewed program operations and performance; evaluated and recommended proposals for cost efficiencies and optimal service outcomes; prepared and presented analytical reports on programmatic and budgetary issues; analyzed legislation and regulations governing social services and the fiscal impact of policy changes. Signature projects included analysis to develop a "model budget" to increase service utilization for over 100 child abuse prevention contracts including market data analysis, policy analysis and statistical modeling; lead staff analyst for the City's initiative to standardize a consistent indirect cost policy for all human service contracts to support long term nonprofit contractor organizational sustainability. Awarded Volunteer Service Award by the Budget Director for creating OMB's first Employee Resource Group (ERG), which was focused on supporting LGBTQ employees.
