As a mayoral appointee, Cece worked as the liaison between the women’s community, broadly speaking, and the city administration. Much of the work was serving as a convener of funders, media, non-profits, academics and government agencies, all working collaboratively on behalf women and girls. Two primary projects she initiated during her tenure were Voices for Girls, a citywide systems change initiative, and SisterSpeak Loud and Clear: Stopping Violence Against Women, a free, daylong conference addressing violence in our homes and communities.
