Used the additional $400M of proceeds to pay down more costly debt.- Reduced OI’s cost of debt from 5.81% to 4.96%.- Restructured the Treasury organization from regional teams to a global team with multi-regional knowledge and responsibilities.- Hedge currency, commodities and transactions on an as needed basis.- Evaluated and replaced the property insurance brokers resulting in a premium reduction of over $2M and a 50% reduction in deductibles.- Instituted a plant by plant loss control plan and tracking score card.- Trustee for the pension plan and OI’s charitable foundation.
