    My initial 6 months with Berwin Leighton Paisner were spent on secondment with GDF Suez (Dubai) where I acted as sole in-house counsel mandated with (simultaneously) putting together bids for two multi-billion dollar power and water desalination projects in Saudi Arabia. This intensely busy 6 month period strengthened my ability to work with limited access to resources and to think on my feet. I was also required to familiarise myself with the principles of Sharia Law. On returning to the UK I acted for The Government of Oman in relation to a new power and desalination project at Barka and for developers and investors in respect of UK renewables projects, amongst other things.
