    In my role as a supervisor I have a lot of responsibilities: Cashing up of the takings for the day, managing and coaching the staff, and being constantly aware of any security threats in the store are but a few. Managing the sales floor and making sure everyone is being given the service the deserve is my main objective but I am also entrusted with a lot of the tasks in our office as well. This means that I have to be able to rely on my staff, which is why I am involved in one-to-one coaching with each of them to discover their individual strengths.My secondary role is as a Sales Advisor and head of the Gold Department. This means that I have to merchandise the gold areas to a high standard and be well informed of any stock changes or new items so I can provide information to the customers.I really enjoy my work here; getting to know each customer individually to provide them with the perfect choice is actually quite fun and I am good at it. I'm frequently top of our sales targets and would love to bring this success with me.In 2016, I have been made a permanent full time supervisor in a new store after 2 years of being a step up supervisor.

    I spent 6 weeks here on a temporary summer contract. I learned to handle hazardous materials and manage company assets in the stockrooms. I was officially trained in COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) which, although not useful in most careers, taught me that I was good at learning new procedures very quickly.
