    My short story "Snowed In" is one of the stories in Volume One of Guidepost Books' "A Cup of Christmas Cheer." The two-volume set released October, 2013. Snowed In is about a WWII veteran who wants to propose to his fiancé--but first he has to help her find a place for her sisters, who were dropped off at her work and left by her father, who returned to Kentucky. His grandmother's log cabin seems just the place. Note: This story is set at my great-grandparents' cedar cabin, now situated at the Tahquamenon Logging Museum in Newberry, Michigan, in the beautiful Upper Peninsula.
