Assistant to the Manager, who is a member of the Kingdom’s Steering Committee, as well as to the Vice President, who is the Kingdom’s appointed Chairman of the Negotiating Team directing the Kingdom’s Natural Gas Initiative. This Initiative lead to the creation of a long-term partnership with qualified International Oil Companies, such as Shell Exploration Co. BV, to develop major gas industry core projects in conjunction with the Saudi Arabian Government. Undertook advance Negotiation Techniques with the Harvard Group, CMI Claris and helped develop the linkage section of the Project Definition Program. The Gas Ventures Development team was formed of select financial and technical individuals among Saudi Aramco who have been entrusted with the Project Definition Program and support the Negotiation Team towards a legally binding Implementation Agreement. Also, set up high ranking visits to our Gas Plants and meetings and organized presentations by Saudi Aramco to the International Oil Companies and Negotiating Team, as well as run the Organization’s day-to-day business activities.

Participated in the development of the Kingdom’s new domestic fuel pricing structure to motivate large Power Plants in Rabigh, Jeddah and Makkah, and Saline Water Conversion Plants in Sho’aiba and Shoqaiq, to switch over to cheaper fuels so as to export the higher priced fuels. This program became a Royal Decree, Decision 214. Assisted in the technical aspects of the plants’ modifications to ensure uninterrupted service under fuels of lower specifications. Made presentations to Ministers and Saudi Aramco Executive Management on the fuel conversion program benefits and associated costs and wrote the associated contracts. Participated in the award of the contracts to Hyundai and the monthly supervision of both projects.
