      Carlos is the Global Leader of Mercer's Global Mobility Practice. Mercer is the global leader in the field of mobility consulting, information and technology. In addition he is responsible for Mercer's strategic alliances and business planning for the global mobility practice. He has led Mercer's Global Mobility Practice on and off since 1998, playing a major role in Mercer's acquisition of ORC Worldwide in 2010. He started his career as an economic journalist at 'Business Europe' and later on co-founded and headed the Human Resources Information Division of Business International that was later acquired by the Economist Intelligence Unit in London. Carlos contributed and pioneered the development of several important concepts, methodologies and products including the Economist Intelligence Unit's Cost of Living Reports and Mercer's Total Remuneration Surveys, Cost of Living, Quality of Living Reports and Global HRMonitor. In 1982 he introduced the use of the SKF Position Evaluation System (now IPE) as part of the methodology for Business International's global compensation surveys and later on at Corporate Resources Group. This methodology is now core to Mercer's Global TRS reports. Mr. Mestre is a trusted advisor to leading international firms on international human resources practices. His main contributions have been in the fields of international assignment strategy, policy design and compensation solutions.
