Along with the education, legal, legislative, and insurance areas, our members receive value added quality products and services to ensure that they receive the most from their membership.Membership in the MBA is available to commercial banks, trust companies and savings associations with an office in the state of Minnesota. In addition, the MBA has over 120 associate members serving the banking industry. This strong membership base allows the MBA to provide all members with unparalleled advocacy and exceptional products and services.

    The Minnesota Multi Housing Association (MHA) exists to promote the highest standards in the development, management, and maintenance of rental and owner-occupied multi housing. Its nearly 2,000 members collectively own and/or manage more than 350,000 housing units across the state.As Vice President, I created, marketed, and coordinated educational offerings including two annual conferences, five certification programs, and numerous classes and seminars which combined generated 34% of MHA's two million dollar operating revenue. Grew education net income by an average of 7% per year through continual evaluation of educational offerings and programs to ensure exceptional quality and content that is relevant to member needs. Other responsibilities included: Oversight of the daily operations of the association. Ensured all expenditures were within budget guidelines and fiduciary responsibilities to members were accounted for at all times. Hiring, training and supervising staff including managers, administrative, and accounting personnel.Promoting the multi housing industry as a desirable career path. Forged partnerships with external training organizations and created new opportunities for workers to enter into the industry. Created resources to assist member companies in recruiting, hiring, training and retaining staff.Interacting extensively with members and worked to build loyal and long-lasting relationships with and among multi housing professionals. Led five member-driven committees: Professional Education, CRM, CRMT, MADACS and Careers Task Force. Leadership of MADACS, the association's annual awards program, including determining award categories and judging criteria, scheduling and coordinating more than 275 volunteer judges and 400 nominees over a six-week period, planning of a formal gala for 1,500+ attendees and working with a 25-person volunteer committee. Under my stewardship MADACS became the single largest event MHA offers.
