Undertook detailed impairment assessments of intangible assets and other assets under construction.• Drafted numerous Minute papers on behalf of the CFO to the Executive, summarising high profile accounting issues such as remediation of ANAO audit findings, major asset impairments, lease accounting treatments, revisions to asset thresholds, asset process improvements and the capital investment budget process.• Responded to ad hoc requests from CFO, DCFO and business areas regarding the capitalisation of complex assets.• Coordinated the asset revaluation process for an agency, including preparing the asset register, developing a risk and issues log, drafting procurement documents, meeting with the preferred tenderer, liaising with the valuer regularly to discuss valuations for specialised assets, reconciliations and updating the FMIS.• Managed asset under construction (AUC) balances and established quality assurance processes to proactively monitor capitalisation of employee labour costs and supplier expenses.• Prepared and delivered capitalisation training to six business divisions prior to the submission of capital investment proposals.
