Reporting to the Vice President and President, the Stewardship Writer is responsible for writing, editing, and developing concepts for stewarding Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge’s donor base. Duties and Responsibilities:The Stewardship Writer will have a broad range of responsibilities, including the following: ● Manage and continue to evolve the Adoptions and Sponsorship Program and the In Memoriam Program, with a focus on developing and implementing strategic stewardship plans (in conjunction with the Communications Director) aimed at maximizing the involvement and long-term investment of donors. ● Manages a system for reporting all individual, foundation, and corporate adoptions and sponsorships. ● Researching qualified grant opportunities. ● Produce high-level communications, including donor correspondence, acknowledgement letters, solicitation letters, and grant proposals. ● Provide editorial feedback to other office staff on a broad range of communications and written materials. ● Maintains new and old animal biographies. ● Assists in producing newsletter articles and maintains a working knowledge of Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge’s stylistic preferences and strategic priorities.● Other duties as assigned.
