Project Manager in the Enterprise Project Management Office at IAG. The New Zealand EPMO manages projects ranging from Technology solutions across new platforms to managing integration of new companies. It supports and manages portfolios across various business units in New Zealand, which run some of the most iconic NZ insurance brands such as STATE, NZI, AMI and Lumley.Some of the latest projects/achievements that I have managed & delivered over the last few years –•Delivered a project for the Direct business unit which involved changes to Commercial Policy wordings across the commercial suite and consequent changes across the systems, process and change management. This project was nominated for the project of the year award for FY14-15 at IAG NZ.•Transformation and change management projects to manage the merger of Lumley with IAG NZ. Successfully delivered 2 integration projects in FY14-15 as part of the overall FUSION programme of works.•Delivered a project to merge the key reinsurance programmes across NZI and Lumley into a single entity that provides opportunities for synergies and ongoing efficiency gains. Managed multiple SCRUM delivery teams alongside key shared services resources to deliver the project under budget and ahead of time.•Currently working in the shared services portfolio to deliver a range of key programmes under the Applications Health & Resiliency work stream which involve the lift and shift of core insurance applications from an unsupported windows version onto a more scalable supported version of OS and SQL. •Involved in key Compliance programmes of work which involved running projects across multiple applications to cater for changes in Fire service levies, GST (over the years).•Delivered Projects to switch from a granular rating service onto a more robust rating platform such as DCT (duckcreek) across key Intermediate and Direct portfolios.•Won-IAG NZ award for Inspiring Leadership in Sep 2015.

I was working at IAG NZ as an Interface between the project/business units and had project teams responsible for the completion of project deliverables. Had to liaise with other managers of different business units within the organization, manage expectations for the projects and deliver business projects for the business units. My core responsibilities included:•Contributing as a Business Project Manager for the Business unit projects.•Generates ideas that lead to new opportunities or significant cost savings for the business unit or organization.•Preparing and presenting business cases alongside the technology PM for business unit projects•Managed Changes arising out of projects. I was heading the Data integration and centralization of the database teams within ICICI bank. http://www.icicibank.com It is the largest private sector bank and the 2nd largest bank in India. It has operations ranging from core banking to Insurance, risk management, Investment banking and other financial products. ICICI’s offices are spread across the globe from Canada to UK, and Singapore. My key responsibility at ICICI when I left was to consolidate the multiple branch networks across the country and create regional and subsequently a centralised data centre for the Bank. My core responsibilities included:•Integration of the Financial Databases - Project managed the Centralization of Databases project for the entire Bank. It involved the Data integration process, including the technical process of Oracle Database Mergers ultimately creating the single largest financial database at that point of time in India.•Project managed the DATA Centre setups across 15 Regional centres across India for the Bank and subsequently decommissioned those centers once the databases were centralized in one location. •Project managed roll outs of new versions of Financial banking package from INFOSYS http://www.infosys.com/ with upgrades and new products integrated into the final package. •Project managed the setup of the Disaster recovery Centre for ICICI bank & managed the Implementation of the VERITAS Server management (Disaster Recovery) solution.•Project managed the transition of new servers (HP- Serengeti range) for the Bank.•Lead the project team, allocating and monitoring tasks, motivating staff and appraising individual performance.•Evaluate and made recommendations/decisions on options as appropriate.•Advised resource managers (staff line managers) on the development, training and appraisal requirements for project staff.
