    *Operate and maintain the electrical distribution system on board frigates*Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems. *Order and organize parts. *Manage/mentor junior members in safe electrical practicesAs a submariner, I obtained my operations certificate (Opcert). I would operate the Main Machinery console (MMC), which was used to run the diesels and propulsion systems. I would perform rounds on the two diesel generators as well as the all the ancillary equipment located on board. This included high pressure hydraulics systems, high pressure air systems, low pressure air systems, and all the electrical systems(24V DC, 440V AC, and 1000V DC).Operate the Submarine Control console (SCC). As the SCC operator, I would be in control of all systems forward of the engine room. This would provide operation of the submarines buoyancy, trim systems, and HP air systems. I controlled the charging of the batteries at sea, as well as on land. In charge of submarine emergency systems.
