    SETAC is a 6,000 member global professional society dedicated to supporting our members to exchange information and ideas on the study, analysis and solution of environmental problems, the management and regulation of natural resources, research and development, and environmental education. I work with our governance and membership to develop and implement programs to meet their needs.I have helped organize and conduct intensive workshops, webinars, and focussed topic meetings on several leading edge scientific topics, including the Gulf Oil Spill, Hydraulic Fracturing, Life Cycle Assessment, and mercury. I serve as the co-chair of the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative, a global network of more than 2,000 interested in mainstreaming of approaches and tools for life cycle management and assessment and application of life cycle frameworks to sustainability.
