Started my career with General Motors February 10, 1965 as a member of the hourly workforce. I was drafted into the U.S. Army on December 7, 1965, I was honorably discharged on December 6, 1967 and retruned to my hourly position until July 1968 when I was promoted to a 1st line supervior postion in the Buick Motors Engine Plant. My management work experience includes: July 1968 - Manufacturing Supervisor (Machining); Augurst 1976 - Maintenance Supervisor (Installing V6 Engine Equipment); Dec. 1976 - Manufacturing Engineering; October 1978 - Manufacturing General Supervisor (Machining Operations); January 1980 - Buick Engine Plant Statistical Process Control Consultant and Lead Supervisor/Facilitator coordinating the use of Statistical Process Control in Piston Manufacturing; January 1984 - New Projects Manager; January 1985 Piston Manufacturing Area Manager, April 1987 - Staff Assistant (Human Resourses) responsible for communications, training, and organizational development at GM Powertrain Flint North; Dec. 2000 - Site Manager (Human & Organizational Development) GM Powertrain Flint North
