Starting January 10th, I became an Education Staffing Consultant for Kelly Education. In this new role I will be meeting with, listening to, and assisting school divisions in Virginia with their staffing challenges – especially the substitute teacher shortage.

2013 – January 2022 Director of Finance & Human Resources, Appomattox County Public Schools – In 2013 I took on the functions of Director of Finance in addition to the functions of Director of Human Resources. We eliminated a central office administrator due to tough budget times and I volunteered to do both. 2008 - 2013 Director of Human Resources, Appomattox County Public Schools – I was responsible for all human resource functions (recruiting, interviewing, hiring, terminating, evaluating, etc). In addition, I was responsible for teacher licensure/renewals, issuing of employment contracts, placing student teachers, ensuring legal compliance, and much more.
