    Ran the newsroom's video coverage, overseeing a team of more than 50 employees and many freelancers. During my time there, even as we increased video production, average views per video tripled, we had a record number of Emmy nominations, and the department won its first Pulitzer Prize, for its coverage of the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone.

    I ran the media coverage for the Times, including reporting on television, Hollywood, newspapers, magazines, new media and radio. Turned David Carr into a media columnist and edited a great collection of reporters including Brian Stelter, Brooks Barnes, Amy Chozick, Julie Bosman, Tim Arango, Bill Carter, Stuart Elliott, Tanzina Vega, Richard Perez-Pena, Michael Cieply and Noam Cohen. I was a central figure in a full-length 2011 documentary, "Page One: A Year Inside The New York Times."
