I received my students/clients from the references I got while working at a private American school in Santa Cruz, Bolivia when I was studying in an undergraduate level. Therefore, I began teaching children and adolescents that needed support to learn in bilingual scenarios. I would help them integrate their school work and the new language in a way that would help them adapt and learn efficiently in schools that were bilingual (English-Spanish). I would also help them learn to adapt to the cultural differences from an American cultural life to a Latin American lifestyle, and vice versa for Bolivian children who were having difficulties adapt to the English language in an only-English speaking school.

    I was in charge of the quantitative take of information through valid instruments for the statistical analysis of the effect of a mindfulness program, widely known as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for the reduction of stress and anxiety in a group of people at a working age in Santa Cruz de la Sierra Bolivia. The certified instructor in MBSR from the University of Massachusetts, instructed the 8-week program while I was in charge of the analysis of the experimental psychology aspects of the program using statistics. This sort of research was the first of its kind ever done in Bolivia in the area of Mindfulness, it being the first investigation done on a Bolivian population. It was a year long investigation, done on a small group of 25 Bolivian citizens, but it was ground breaking information and was a part of my dissertation project to graduate for my bachelor's degree in Psychology.
