Reported to the Director SCM, Major Projects.♣ Assessed construction, contracting, procurement, materials management and logistics requirements and developed strategies and plans to package, stage and supply $1.1B of materials to the Voyageur Site.♣ As part of the Fort Hills Project Management Team, developed and managed a complex global supply chain which involved fabrication and logistics of materials to a remote site safely and according to stringent project schedules.♣ Directed the team to establish operations after negotiation of framework agreements with the Port of Prince Rupert for the construction of a barge off-loading terminal and with CN Rail for transportation 166 modules to Lynton, AB near Fort McMurray. The team secured the President’s Award for operational excellence. ♣ Built and operated an interim storage facility in Edmonton designed to receive and de-stuff 7000 sea containers from Korea and re-distribute materials to value added operations in the area and to Project Site.♣ Implemented RFID material tracking technology to facilitate and streamline procurement scheduling, material work packaging and constructability reviews to deliver estimated cost savings of $26M.♣ Managed shipments of; +46K tons of fabricated steel and piping from Asian ports to value added fabricators en-route to Fort Hills, 580 Alberta-Sized modules from Edmonton to Fort Hills Site, 95 over-dimensional Korean built equipment loads through several North American Ports and 86 North American built over-dimensional equipment loads up to 405 metric tons.
