    Hickory Farms, LLC Operations / Facility Manager 7/16 – 3/15/18Joliet, ILI was selected for this role because my work experience helped eliminate the road blocks or bottle necks that can bog down daily operations. My job skills had me overseeing the entire operations for the US distribution facility. Focusing on keeping control of our facility operating budgets, I oversaw our gift assembly operations, the warehouse team, the fulfillment team and the maintenance department of the Joliet facility. I utilized a team of seven supervisors to help me oversee these tasks and use continual improvements to make our products be the best in class.

    Pre-season build - Work with our marketing department on what they want for gift design and build requirements. I spec equipment for any new ideas and work with our supply vendors on our requirements for the determined gift design, focusing on shipping methods and supplies required to enhance the gift experience we strive for.Season build - Hire, train and supervise line leads that are responsible for the gift build. I also work with our internal HR department on the hire criteria for line associates, fork lift and inventory department personnel. I collect and input daily build analytics for KPI measurements and line effectiveness. I also work with our Quality departments making sure correct SOP's are followed and documented.Energy czar - I am the facilities manager for our Joliet branch and part of that includes tracking all energy consumptions and expenditures. I analyze new technologies that we can implement, striving to be that "good neighbor" and reducing the companies carbon footprint. Since the start up of this project we have saved (to date) 1,445,000 KWh's. Several major projects have been completed along the way and we continue to look for other measures in order to continue this result.
