    My technology accelerator company, Resultant Innovation Group, started working with SMRTGrid four years ago, and now we hold an equity stake in SMRTGrid, and I have taken the CEO role. SMRTGrid is five years' in development, and has now released The SMRTGRid™ Electric Utility System Monitoring and Alert Solution. SMRTGrid Line Beacons™ are patented, wireless, solar powered, pole-mounted distribution grid failure-detection devices. Our sophisticated hardware and AI software combination detects outages and “out of parameter” conditions and sends an alert with the GPS location and other data to the Utility Company Control Center systems (SCADA or OMS). The exact location, suspected causes and the extent of the damage arrives in real time, allowing for a swift, precise, efficient response. We developed and tested the system in close conjunction with a major US utility and Verizon Wireless.

    Management Consulting firm specializing in venture capital backed high-technology startups. Wrote the first two Windows Resource Kits and was an expert witness in the Microsoft/Apple interface lawsuit. On the launch teams of every version of Windows from 3.1 to Windows 95, and worked on the interface design team for Windows 95. Helped design the massive corporate Windows Adoption program On the launch teams for the first three versions of NT, Back Office, SQL Server, and Exchange. One of two people who did the product specifications for the last version of MS-DOS. Wrote a book on how to use NT in small business with Mike Nash that sold out 7 editions in 20 languages. Played a role in designing the launch of Microsoft's first consumer product in China, and spent two three-month periods in Beijing and Shenzhen doing the launch. I worked on the product management and product marketing teams for pen computing, Tiger servers, and Proxy server. Was one of 7 people on the team tasked by Paul Maritz to do the analysis that refocused 2500 Microsoft employees and $1 billion in Microsoft assets on the internet. Was on the Microsoft competitive strategy teams for NetWare, Novell, IBM, and Sun. In Silicon Valley, my company and I worked with over 100 venture capital backed start-ups, doing both due diligence for the Venture Capital firms who invested in them, and working with them post-investment to help them hit their milestones. Did a number of merger and acquisition analysis projects that resulted mergers or acquisitions, several of which went public.
