    I undertook this leadership role for the College of Engineering so that I could contribute to an emerging educational experience through institutional planning, building external relationships and community partnerships. • I identified and implemented opportunities that have evolved the college's academic offerings to ensure the offering of diverse and cutting-edge programs.• I created and integrated multiple new research opportunities that expanded the focus of the College of Engineering.• I introduced new Master of Science and PhD programs in the College of Engineering.• Through the signing of cooperation agreements, I have built partnerships with ten different companies, ministries and authorities.• I personally led the College of Engineering team that succeeded in the Institutional Academic Accreditation process of SQU in 2017 by the Oman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education (OAAA-QA).• Additionally, I led the College of Engineering team that succeeded in ABET Accreditation for the eight programs in Dec 2019.

    In this role, I directed and further developed a multi-program department, leading all project and program development, student, faculty, and staff informatics services, and coordination among other University functions. .• I directed the Erasmus Mundus co-operation project, collaborated with EU universities and facilitated the €1.23M "Strengthening Research Collaborations in High Impact and Emerging Technologies between GCC and EU" consortium comprised of ten partner universities, including four Gulf and six European universities.• Through active communication and collaboration, I built partnerships with City University London, UK, Technische Universitat Dresden, Germany, University of Magna Graecia, Italy, University of Deusto, Spain, Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, and the Frederick University, Cyprus.• I fostered sustainable research links with key ICT sector entities in Oman and intentional research institutions.• I secured funding that supported a wide scope of R&D projects within ICT related areas.• Through the introduction of new strategies, I drove an increase in the total number of researchers at the center.• I coordinated the FOSS Conference in the region and beyond with 1000+ attendees per event each two years, from 2013, 2015, and 2017.• Served as the Editor for the Journal of Engineering Research.My earlier career experience with the Sultan Qaboos University, College of Engineering includes Roles as the Associate Professor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, the Head of Electrical & Computer Engineering Department, and the Chair of Mechatronics Engineering Program.
