      I started as a Stores Operative, using an MRP System to issue parts to kits and return them to stock, kitting, stock take, stock control etc. After quite a few years in Stores I decided I would like to progress within the company and try something new, so I applied for a Receptionist/Administrator role and to my delight I succeeded and so from 2006 to 2012, I supported the Health and Safety Manager with keeping spread sheets up to date, raising and placing various Site Maintenance purchase orders, answering all calls via switchboard, greeting visitors, ordering any catering requirements. As I was slowly getting involved with Purchase Orders I realised I quite like to pursue this as a career path, I was very confident in what I had learnt an achieved, so when an opportunity arose in Purchasing I went for it only to be told, that they would love to have me, but it was a short contract, I couldn't risk this, so took my knowledge and skills elsewhere and gained my current role, which is fabulous.
