As member of Home Office Executive Property Team, led a highly technical team specializing in auto and real property, catastrophe management and vendor alliances and contracts, reporting directly to the vice president of Property Claim. Primary responsibilities included coordination of national CAT response; development and communication of CAT financials; media spokesperson; and a number of national strategic initiatives and vendor alliances (Automated Estimating; Independent Adjuster Program; National Glass Program). Directed start-up of Aetna's National Auto & Property Reinspection program to improve claim handler technical skills, overall claim file quality, and enhance detection of claim fraud. Key leader in Aetna response to Hurricane Andrew and the Northridge Earthquake disasters. Additional duties involved consulting services for the policies and procedures for Aetna's Mexican Property & Casualty interest (Seguros Monterrey Aetna). Coordinated Auto & Property Claim Automation Initiatives: Selection and negotiation of vendor supplied estimating programs, development of computer training plans, and other automation projects generating cost mitigation of $1.8MM+.. Special Recognition: - Received Leadership Award for individual and team achievements in transition management and implementation of cost saving vendor initiatives.
