I was originally hired as the VP/General Manager for Pirates World to be built in Dania, FL. Funding delays saw our Art Director Paul Grosse return to MGM for a motion picture and I had to take over as designer of the park. Plagued with money problems we had all use equipment including the Steeplechase from Coney Island, Log Flume from NY Worlds Fair, Sky Ride from Legend City and other major rides. We opened the park and made money for several years until the property became too valuable for amusements.
