• Support adults in small groups in premises across East Lothian Council with the aid of a volunteer to achieve their literacy or numeracy learning goals ranging from informal improvements and increased confidence to achieving SQA qualifications. (Pre pandemic in small groups supported by volunteer, during pandemic remotely by phone or video call).• Lead provision of Routes to Work Group by East Lothian Works, supporting a diverse range of adult learners (self-referred, agency and job centre referrals) to achieve their employability goals be it a new role, a suitable course or accessing a volunteering or work placement opportunity. Learners come with a wide range of needs and level of qualifications, at different life stages (made redundant late in working life, women returning after caring, those in recovery from mental health issues etc.). (Pre pandemic in small groups supported by volunteer, during pandemic remotely by phone or video call).• Facilitated NOEL (New Opportunities in East Lothian), a 6-month employability course, supporting often lone parents to find routes back to the workplace through placements, employability advice, CV preparation, personal development and guidance.• Developed and delivered “Confident You”, a 4-week confidence building course offered as part of NOEL and Wallyford World of Work.• Worked collaboratively with a range of partners including First Step Musselburgh, Wallyford Primary School, libraries etc. to develop programmes to engage learners within the community by offering short courses such as “Help Your Child with Maths Homework” and pre-employability programmes.
