At the Iracambi Research Center based in the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil, our vision is to see flourishing communities living sustainably in a flourishing landscape and our mission is to make the conservation of the forest more attractive than its destruction. We welcome students, researchers and volunteers who want to join our programs all of which focus on Saving Forests and Changing Lives. The Research Center houses the Iracambi Forest Nursery which makes and supplies native forest tree seedlings for forest restoration under our program Forests4Water. In parallel with Forests4Water we have a program of forest monitoring and are developing our exciting new Smart Forest program. Our educational programs include Young Eco Leaders (introducing local schoolchildren to rainforest science,) and Forest Therapies where we research the properties of native medicinal plants and work with local women to develop a range of natural forest based products.
