Providing assistance to all departments throughout the business. Production, contract tendering, purchasing, survey & installation.Production operative training, quality procedures, product development, investigate new hardware, prepare & submit samples for contract approval, product testing. Represented the company on many large projects throughout the UK & also Sweden. Site advise for architects, specifiers, clients. Conducted site surveys of installed products.     Joined the company as a 17 year old, when PVCU Windows & Doors (as they were known back then) during a time when the public had little or no understanding of them. At a time when you could have fitted any colour or type you liked as long as they were white Tilt & Turn with 20mm glazing option only. Building on the production experience gained in the shoe industry, using my own initiative put in many hours to become a very proficient production operative & fabricator. Took on a leading role in the setting up of the new commercial production section, strong emphasis to training others to become proficient at their specific work stations. Helping to develop a very efficient team capable of manufacturing much more complicated window & door sets required by the commercial sector. Introducing new ideas & methods to increase the work flow through the section. One of only 2 employees out of 20 production workers who was knowledgeable & skilled to carry out any task throughout all the manufacturing processes.
