    In 2007 I started a real estate brokerage specializing in working with Buyers and Sellers in the single family home market in the Phoenix East Valley area. At the same time, I operated ADB Properties, LLC, buying, remodeling, and selling homes. In 2013 I stopped the remodeling business due to fewer available properties and increased competition. In 2014, I scaled down the real estate brokerage and finally ceased operation, although I still maintain my broker's license.

    In 1998 I started a 17 piece swing band, and several smaller party bands to play for special events and weddings in the San Francisco Bay Area. I did the booking and played drums in the bands. When we moved to the Phoenix area in 2004, I sold the band to my musical director.

    My wife and I developed an eBay business importing and selling pearls and jade items. We designed and made many of the items, in addition to the standard pearl necklaces that we purchased already strung. We traveled to China several times to purchase inventory direct from the pearl farms. We stopped the business when we moved to the Phoenix area in 2004. We were able to operate the music business and the pearl business at the same time without conflict.

    Airline CaptainWhen Delta purchased the Pan Am North Pacific routes, I was flying the Airbus A310 that went with the route sale. Delta needed a turn-key system, so I, and the other A310 pilots, went to Delta with the route sale. One year later, I developed an inner ear problem, (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) and was forced into early medical retirement.

    International Airline Captain From 1972 to 1977, I worked in the Pan Am Training Department as a Training Check Captain, giving 6-month proficiency checks to other pilots, and training pilots who were new to the Boeing 707. I flew the following aircraft for Pan Am: Boeing 707, Boeing 747, Airbus A300, Airbus A310

    I founded and grew Diablo Alarm, a fire and burglar alarm installation and service company, to a relatively large company with 16 employees. In 1980 the real estate business was stalling and the home builders where we had developed a large share of our business were cutting production and costs, so we sold the company.
