    Bill Smillie is a former Executive with IBM’s Learning and Knowledge function within its Global Business Services, where he led the professional development programs for all consulting Partners and staff worldwide. He also provided thought leadership in project management best practices and delivery excellence, based on his perspectives gained from over 30 years of international programme and project management. He currently provides a wide range of management consulting and facilitation services through his company, Tamarac Consulting LLC, including career and life coaching for executives and professionals. Recently, he helped design and deliver an award-winning intensive experiential program for IBM designed to accelerate senior consulting and delivery managers to executive levels. Now in its fourth year, the program has reached more than 900 participants, and many have already delivered measurable business results - directly attributable to their newly enhanced competencies – that exceed the cost of the program many-fold. Indeed, over 100 participants have already been promoted to Executive. Bill also has facilitated strategy planning and governance best practices for a variety of non-profits in the Baltimore-DC area, for which his active listening skills and his willingness to constructively challenge current thinking have helped mobilize people around an agenda for change. He has completed the full 104-hour training from Coach Training Institute (CTI), a premier training and certification organization in the field of professional coaching.
