Resource Assistant

Oct 2006 - Mar 2007

London North HQ
Basic role was to be part of the Resource Management Unit, providing staffing levels for policing activities across th London North area. This included using IT systems to manage overtime, leave, sickness, time off etc.Due to my past experience I was also asked to develop the resource managemnet system for the new police unit being developed for the St Pancreas International Rail Link. I highlighted defects in the core working practices that had to be resolved before a robust system could be implemented. The existing methods were wasteful in cash and efficiency terms and could not be built in to a new unit. The whole resourcing system was moved towards integrating with the HR, Training and Finance teams as the IT allowed and expected.
