I started out in the "big" tax department, working with all kinds of clients in a number of industries. I found I liked working most with owner-managed companies and moved over to the Entrepreneurial Services Group in 1989. In 1991 I left to join my long-time client where we had both experienced a rapid learning curve in international finance.

The summer before Spain joined the European common market, Tubos Reunidos was preparing for its first-ever financial statement audit for the 1984 year. Working directly with the Director of Internal Audit, I diagrammed and documented the company's sales cycle. My work was used to train other accountants to perform the remaining necessary documentation.
