During the 2006-2007 period, involved in a key leadership role bringing a state-level HRCI-sponsored certification program to California. Initially, served as a Leader on the State Council's Proposal and Formation Committee; later, as a member of the HRCI Organization and Development Task Force; and still later, as the Project Manager for the development of the initial California Learning System prepared for and published by SHRM.

From 1981 to 1986, responsible for Advanced Technology's division-wide HR functions. Managed a 8-person HR staff. Responsible for a 250K annual HR budget. Opened and managed a branch HR office in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Served as the division representative with the U.S. Department of Energy on HR matters.
