    The Earth Brands China is a US shoe brand sourcing company located in FoShan City. We have our own sample room to do the development.I lead the materials team (3employees) in charge of the new material developments with US PD team together, supplier chain maintenance; all materials, tools and service purchase for our sample room; Control the purchase budget; Take care of the RS test on sample stage; Help the production team to solve the production issues such as MOQ, delivery delay and quality;I especially focus on the sustainable materials development for the company, successfully developed the corn starch shoes insert, Biodegradable bag, Recycled PET textile for our products about 4 million pairs of shoes. Besides that, I have researched other sustainable materials: Recycled Rubber sole, Rubber with bamboo, rubber with R PET; rubber with wood saw dust; rubber with corn starch; biodegradable sole. Water base synthetic PU; Old car tyre sole; vegetable dyeing textile.

    ShoeFabrik is a shoe sourcing company provide the service from shoe design, development to production. The company’s main customers are European brands: On Running, HellyHansen, Arkk. My role is the materials sourcing manager, I reported to the materials sourcing and purchase director. My main job:1. I work with development team to sourcing new materials for the brand.2. I reconcile the materials issue with all Chinese materials supplier, I travel between China and Vietnam frequently to follow up the material development in China.3. During the three years, I work together with the Materials Director to consolidate the supplier base and established the core supplier for leather and bottom; I oversee all operations of the leather and key project with the general materials team. Key responsibilities:1. New article/color development;2. Materials price negotiations and mid/long term strategy.3. Pre-order color delivery.4. All production color master.5. Support on bulk quality, color and on time delivery.6. Supply chain management: Supplier auditing (due diligence), monthly score card and feedback. 7. Seasonal leather forecasts (including commitments).8. Article definition and specifications9. Risk assessment of materials and utilization (in collaboration with Technical department). 10. Set up and maintenance of the leather color library.11. Set up of all bottom stock standards for all brands; 12. RSL control.

    Yong Hui Shoes Sample Room produces high quality sample and small production for the customer. We had about 35 workers; we managed the process from development to shipping. I take the entire duty of Yong Hui factory, business relationship with customer, shoe development, materials purchase, financial control, daily operations like schedule control, administration. Due to the poor financial situation, we closed our business in Dec 2011.

    Northstar is an American Shoes trading company. We work for brand: banana republic; Nine West; Roxy; Nautica) 1. Set up materials and warehouse team. I led the team to achieve company materials development target. We work closely with suppliers and factories to making sure the materials develop is in compliance with our timetable and quality standard with a competitive cost. Work together with the developer to auditor the shoe factory to help them past the customer’s official auditor. I am familiar with all women's shoe materials: leather, fabric, hardware, outsole and synthetic materials. I knew the materials’ character, market.2. Established the supplier chain for the company, in charge of daily work with suppliers. Maintain a good relationship with the supplier. Issue the sample request to international and local suppliers. Follow up with them to develop and ship the materials on time.3. Work with the GM together established a 30 workers sample room team for the company. I am in charge the sample room’s daily job: administration; recruitment; sample schedule, liaison with development division and designer.
